Abstract

A comparative study of cyclizine synthesis methods using reductive amination reactions is reported. Among them there are procedures involving hydride reagents [NaBH4, NaBH3CN, NaBH(OAc)3], hydrogenation over Pd/C and external reductant-free method using formalin only. The methods are also characterized using green chemistry metrics.
