Abstract

(+)-3-Carene-, (S)-(–)-α-pinene- and (R)-(+)-limonene-derived α-nitroso chlorides on treatment with an excess of acetone cyanohydrin afford the corresponding α-cyano oximes, whose structure was solved by X-ray crystallography.
