Abstract

The herein synthesized N-deacetylallocolchicine and its hybrid with histidine possess antitumor properties, however, their application is limited by their low solubility in aqueous media. To address this issue, they were electrostatically bound in an acidic solution to anionic carboxymethylcellulose cross-linked with biogenic Ca2+ and Mg2+ cations. The invention seems promising for the production of water-soluble and biodegradable biologically active drugs.
