Abstract

A top-down pulsed electrosynthesis was elaborated for layered vanadium oxide bronzes (MxVyOz) using bulk vanadium in NH4+, K+, and Na+-containing chloride electrolytes. The polarity reversal is essential for ensuring dissolution–in situ precipitation of MxVyOz, offering a sustainable route for upcycling vanadium into multifunctional materials.
