Abstract

Iron-substituted hydroxyapatite-based materials were synthesized in an acetone medium. The resulting materials demonstrated a specific surface area of 190 m2 g--1. The presence of Fe3+ ions in the hydroxyapatite structure was confirmed by EPR and Mössbauer spectroscopy.
