Abstract

Modification of the surface of cationic liposomes with anionic cyclodextrin produced a colloidal liposome–cyclodextrin complex that retained a net positive charge. It was found that the adsorption efficiency of such nanocarriers on the surface of Langmuir lipid monolayers as biomimetics of planar lipid systems is significantly higher due to the formation of aggregates of the adsorbed complex.
