Abstract

The reaction of 2-chloroindole-3-carbaldehydes with 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole under basic conditions affords new 10H-[1,2,4]triazolo[5',1':2,3]pyrimido[4,5-b]indol-2-amines representing a novel heterocyclic system. The structure of the obtained compounds is confirmed by IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis.
