Abstract

The peculiarities of the interaction of chloromethane with the surface of silver foil with various oxygen covers have been studied. The competitive nature of oxygen and chloromethane adsorption is shown. The oxygen species obtained after chloromethane treatment are possible candidates as active oxygen in ethylene epoxidation reaction.
