Abstract

Azo-functionalization of aniline-containing methacrylic copolymers yielded polymers with side-chain chromophore contents ranging from 4.4 to 39 mol%. The highest nonlinear optical coefficient was achieved with a chromophore content of 17 mol%. The resulting polymers demonstrated good

relaxation stability at elevated temperatures: 98 and 86% at 55 and 65 °C, respectively.
