Abstract

A comparative study of the fluorinating activity of M2PtF6 (M = K, Rb or Cs) in reactions with C60 was performed; Rb2PtF6 and Cs2PtF6 gave much higher yields of fluorofullerene (C60F18) than commonly used K2PtF6.
