Abstract

A new synthesis of 3-[(perfluoroprop-1-en-2-yl)bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-en-2-yl]sulfanes was developed based on the selective ring opening reaction of exo-3-thia-4,4-bis(perfluoroalkyl)tricyclo[4.2.1.02,5]non-7-ene by carbon and nitrogen nucleophiles.
