Abstract
The reduction of N-(3-nitro-2-pyridyl)pyridinium chlorides by SnCl2 resulted in the formation of pyrido[3’,2’:4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]-pyridines or N-(3-amino-2-pyridyl)-3,5-dimethylpyridinium chloride depending on the structure of the substrate.
