Abstract
2-(2-Benzoylethynyl)-5-phenylpyrrole forms two crystal modifications with the carbonyl group oriented in cis- and trans-positions relative to the nitrogen atom thus representing the first example of the solid state stable rotamers around the C≡C bond system.
