Abstract

The title reactions of 1,3-dimethyl-5-halo-6-azauracils with perfluoroalkenylzinc reagents [CF2=CFZnI and CF3C(ZnBr)=CF2] give not only corresponding alkenes but also, unexpectedly, a hexafluoroalkane derivative.
