Abstract

The reaction of 1-amino-6,7-difluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxoquinoline-3-ethylcarboxylate 1 with acetoacetone in acetic acid without air yielded 1-(2-acetyl-4,5-difluorophenyl)-3-methyl-4-acetylpyrazole 3.
