Abstract

Cycloalkylation of Ph2P(O)CH2CN 1 by α,ψ-dibromoalkanes under phase-transfer catalysis conditions (K2CO3/DMSO) proceeds diastereoselectively yielding (1RS,2RS)-1-(diphenylphosphoryl)-2-methylcycloalkane carbonitriles 2.
