Abstract

New condensed 3,4-dihydroisoquinoline derivatives — 10,11-dimethoxy-1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12b,13,14-decahydrocyclohepta[5,6]pyrido-[2,1-a]isoquinoline-1,14-dione [or 2,3-dimethoxy-8-aza-D-dihomogona-1,3,5(10),13-tetraene-12,17b-dione] and 2,3-dimethoxy- 5,6,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,16a-dodecahydroazacycloundeca[2,1-a]isoquinoline-8,13,15-trione — have been obtained by the heteroannelation of 3,4-dihydroisoquinoline by 2-acetylcycloheptane-1,3-dione.
