Abstract

The reaction of 3,7-bismethylenebicyclo[3.3.1]nonane with 1-chloromethyl-4-fluoro-1,4-diazoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane bis(tetrafluoroborate) F-TEDA-BF4 in protic solvents ROH affords 1-RO-3-fluoromethyladamantanes (R = H, Alk, Ac).
