Abstract

Substituted 2-trifluoromethylchromones react with ammonia and primary amines at the activated double bond to form 3-aminoand 3-alkylamino-4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-hydroxyaryl)but-2-en-1-ones or 2-amino- and 2-alkylamino-2-trifluoromethylchroman-4-ones depending on the substituent in the 5-position of the chromone system.
