Abstract

An isoparametric correlation with respect to reagent structure has been obtained for the reaction of 4-R1-N-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-pyridinium salts with arylamines in acetonitrile at 25°C; the quantitative data describe the sequence of slow steps (SN Artype) in the multi-step mechanism of the ANRORC substitution.
