Abstract
The interaction of -η5-(C5H5)LuCI2 with Na+2(C14H10 2−) or Na+(C14H1O 2−) has led to the formation of η5-(C5H5)LU(C14H10 2−) -2thf (thf = tetrahydrofuran), containing anthracene dianion as a ligand and the structure of the new complex has been established by a low-temperature X-ray diffraction study at 143 K.
