Abstract

Based on (2R,3S)-methyl-2-hydroxy-3,4-O-isopropylidenebutanoate, C21-(2R,3S,6R,4E)-2-N-hexadecanoyl-6-hydroxysphingenine has been synthesized as its dibenzoate.
