Abstract

Photocyclization of 1-(2-pyridylamino)-8-chloronaphthalene 3 results in the formation of the novel heterocyclic system 7H-7,8-diazabenz[d,e]anthracene 4 and the previously unknown pyrido[l,2-a]perimidine 5.
