Abstract

Experimental evidence for the isoparametricity phenomenon has been obtained: at critical values of σˆx constants of substituents X in anilines, the rate of nucleophilic displacement does not change with variation in substituents Y in benzoyl halides and benzyl bromides; after passing through the critical values of σˆx the order of reactivity for both substrates is reversed.
