Abstract

Chitosan microspheres were prepared by an emulsification–crosslinking technique with polyglycerol polyricinoleate (PGPR) as a surfactant to stabilize the pre-emulsions. The effect of a ratio between the components of the 2 wt% solution of acetic acid–PGPR–paraffin oil system on the properties of the preemulsion and microspheres was estimated.
