Abstract
3,5-Dinitro-N-(3,5-dinitrobenzoyl)benzamide, the first representative of tetranitro-substituted imides, was obtained on dissolving 3,5-dinitrobenzonitrile in mineral acids and characterized with X-ray diffraction analysis and spectroscopic methods.
