Abstract

Tris(2-pyridyl)phosphine chalcogenides Py3P=X (X = O, S, Se) react with PdCl2 or Li2PdCl4 to give the chelate complexes cis-[Pd(N,N’-Py3P=X)Cl2] in which PdII ion is square-planar coordinated to two pyridine nitrogen atoms of the ligand (κ2-N,N’).
