Abstract

The reaction of erbium(iii) carbonate with thenoyltrifluoroacetone in ethanol leads to the formation of hydrate hydroxonium tetrakis(thenoyltrifluoroacetonato)erbate(iii) (H3O)+[Er(tta)4] H2O, whose molecular structure has been determined by X-ray analysis.
