Abstract

The Pummerer rearrangement of 4,4-dimethyl-1,4-thiasilinane 1-oxide affords 4,4-dimethyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,4-thiasiline, the first cyclic organosilicon vinyl sulfide.
