Abstract

Palladium nanoparticles were encapsulated into polypyrrole globules via one-step one-pot redox reaction between tetraamminepal- ladium(ii) dichloride and pyrrole in water. Such a material is an active catalyst for the Sonogashira coupling of iodo- and bromo- arenes.
