Abstract

The reaction of DyI2 with substituted 2-pyridyl amide [N(SiMe3)(2-C5H3N-6-Me)] (L) and lithium alkoxide can give a new complex [{(L)2Dy(μ2-OBut)Li}24-O)] with a Dy2Li2O group, which was characterized by X-ray crystallography.
