Abstract
Phosphine reacts with allylbenzene in the KOH–DMSO system (90–110°C, 2–2.5h, atmospheric pressure) to afford Markovnikov adducts, (1-phenylprop-2-yl)phosphine and/or bis(1-phenylprop-2-yl)phosphine in 53–80% yields.
