Abstract

The trifluoromethylation of a higher fullerene mixture followed by the HPLC separation of CF3 derivatives resulted in the isolation of C76(CF3)14, C76(CF3)16 and C76(CF3)18 (two isomers), the crystal and molecular structures of which were determined by X-ray diffraction with the use of synchrotron radiation.
