Abstract
2-(2-Quinoxalyl)-β-tropolones have been prepared by the oxidizing condensation of 2-methylquinoxalines with 3,5-di(tert-butyl)-1,2-benzoquinone in an acetic acid solution and their structure has been studied using X-ray diffraction and DFT B3LYP/6-31G** calculations.
