Abstract

The reaction of 2-(methylthio)-3-phenyl-5-(pyridine-3-ylmethylene)-3,5-dihydro-4H-imidazol-4-one (L) with AgNO3 in MeCN– CH2Cl2 results in the formation of coordination polymer framework. Single crystal X-ray study of the product reveals the presence of non-interpenetrating 2D nets possessing a rare topology.
