Abstract

The first 2,3-alkylenesubstituted [1,8]naphthyridines bearing a phosphorus moiety have been synthesised by the Friedländer annulations of 2-aminonicotinaldehyde 1 with 2-diphenylphosphoryl(thiophosphoryl)cyclopentanones 79.
